What we collect
Your account details, shipping address, order history and the photographs you upload to create products.
Why we use it
To produce and deliver your orders, to provide customer support, and — with your consent — to send occasional news.
Your photographs
Photos are stored encrypted and used only to print your products. They are deleted 90 days after your last activity, unless you keep them in a saved project.
Sharing
We share data only with the providers needed to fulfill your order: payment processing (Stripe), printing and delivery partners, and tax calculation.
Analytics, advertising and cookies
With your consent where the law requires it (EEA, UK and Switzerland) and unless you opt out elsewhere, we use Google Analytics to measure visits, and the Meta and TikTok pixels to measure and show our ads. They receive pages viewed, products and order amounts — never your name, email, address or photos. Change your mind at any time with “Privacy choices” at the bottom of every page; we honor the Global Privacy Control signal.
Newsletter and marketing emails
We send our newsletter only to addresses that confirmed their subscription through the link we email (double opt-in), or that ticked the marketing box when creating an account or checking out. We keep your email address, your language, the date and the place where you signed up and, when known, your country. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link and a link to your email preferences; unsubscribing takes effect at once. These emails are sent by us through our email provider (Amazon SES), not through a third-party marketing platform. Emails about your orders and your account are not marketing and are always sent.
Cart and project reminders
If you are signed in, or started checkout with your email address, and leave a cart unfinished, we may send up to three reminders about it, and one reminder about a project you saved but did not order. To do this we keep the list of projects in your cart, your language and your country. In the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland we send these reminders only if you agreed to marketing emails; elsewhere you can stop them at any time with the unsubscribe link. Reminders stop when you order, empty your cart or unsubscribe. Records of guest checkouts that were not completed are deleted after 30 days.
Reviews
A few days after delivery we send one email inviting you to review your order. A review is stored with the reference of the order, your rating, your words and your language. Your first name and country are stored and shown only if you tick the box that allows it; otherwise the review is signed “Verified customer”. No email address is stored with a review. Published reviews are visible to everyone; write to hello@memoryheld.com to have yours changed or removed.
Contact form
What you send through the contact form (name, email address, order number and message) is emailed to our support mailbox so that we can answer, and is not stored on this site. We keep short-lived, anonymised counters to protect the form against abuse.
Gift cards
When you buy a gift card we use your name and email address for the receipt, and the recipient’s name and email address and your message to deliver the card. We store a cryptographic fingerprint of the card code and its last four characters, never the code itself, together with the balance and the history of its use, which we keep for our accounting obligations. If you give us someone else’s details, please make sure they are happy to receive the card.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data at any time by emailing hello@memoryheld.com. Residents of the EU/UK (GDPR), California (CCPA) and Australia (Privacy Act) have additional rights that we honor on request.
